Very few people understand the full implication of prolonged exposure to stress on the human body. Studies have shown that stress can weaken the immune system, strain the heart, damage memory cells and it’s even been shown to be a risk factor in heart disease, cancer, depression, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes and a host of other illnesses. 

And that's just for starters!

 

In addition to the physical effects, stress can manifest itself in many different ways, including;

  • Sleeping disorders

  • Eating disorders

  • Lack of concentration

  • Lack of motivation

  • Loss of confidence

What we need to appreciate is that every person has different triggers for their particular stress related issue and it’s how we react to these triggers that is important. Hypnotherapy can help you cope with stress. Recognising potential triggers, managing and changing your reaction to these triggers reduces the chances of stress occurring.   

 

Every one of my hypnotherapy clients is treated as an individual. Simply because a particular issue is caused by stress does not necessarily mean that you’ll benefit from the same hypnotherapy approach to stress management as to another client with a similar complaint.

What’s important to realise is the necessity of finding a way to manage stress levels successfully and not to simply discount the enormous impact it can have on your life.
