Hypnotherapy to help grieving, loss or trauma

It can be challenging dealing with the issues raised by losing someone or something close to us or being connected to a traumatic experience in some way. For some, it's simply a case of taking the time to contemplate, readjust and moving on with their lives. But in many cases the struggle of dealing with the emotional event can go on for far longer than they ever expected, with associated feelings and emotions appearing spontaneously for no apparent reason.


There can be many reasons why memories are triggered. A song on the radio, or perhaps an old photograph, a particular food or a unique smell can bring powerful memories flooding back. For many, these memories are accompanied with uncontrollable feelings of anger, guilt, sadness stress and much more. Experiencing loss, grief or trauma can appear overwhelming, especially if you feel as if you’re all alone or things just don't make sense.

 

There is no right or wrong way to grieve or to recover from loss or trauma. We’re all different and should be treated as so. I beleive that a hypnotherapist must tailor every hypnotherapy session to the needs of the individual. For hypnotherapy to have the greatest chance of succeeding there simply can't be a one size fits all approach.
